The third Harry Potter book is my personal favourite but I wouldn't say that Dementors and Wizard prison Azkaban necessarily lend themselves easily to any vision of beauty a gal would willingly put on herself day in day out.
Rescued by the Patronus Charm - the shimmering vision of your internal spirit that can protect you from the soul sucking misery of Dementors....or, you know, the daily commute. One of the things that makes me feel sparkling clean and ready to face the world again is a lovely body scrub. I especially like one with a high oil for silky pins post shower - but wouldn't recommend those ones if you're planning to fake tan immediately afterwards!
This was recommended to me by a lovely lady in Selfridges when I was going to buy another of their exfoliators. She raved about the scent and oil based finish (this was my first oil based scrub) and said it was much more of a "treatment" than the bamboo based one that I'd previously used and enjoyed.
There are essential oils of rosemary, rosewood and mint in the sugar and salt based scrub really can be felt on your skin after using it and the scent in the shower is so invigorating - definitely pop down to your local Clarins counter for a sniff and put it on your next birthday present list!
|Clarins Tonic Body Polisher and Sanctuary Spa 4 day moisture oil scrub|
Makeup alley rates it as 4.5 out of 5 here so it's not just me who's in love!
RRP is £33 for 250ml but you can see it online for less if you have a bit of a look around.
Alternatively, if you want a cheaper option with that silky oil finish and a lovely (if not quite so invigorating) scent then I'd heartily recommend the Sanctuary Spa 4 Day Moisture Oil Scrub which can be picked up in your local Boots for £10 or so, about a third of the Clarins price, for 250g.
Til next time kitty kats...love, hugs and buffed to perfection kisses!
